Registration OPEN (1x, 2x)
See our COVID-19 page for updates
Registration is currently OPEN. However, due to provincial restrictions we will be opening in stages. Recreational and Competitive members are now allowed on the water; however, this will currently only available to experienced 1x and 2x (within same household) or in crew boats with members outside of household pending signing of waiver. We fully understand that this will be disappointing to some of our members but appreciate your patience, as we have to keep the safety of our coaches, volunteers, employees and members paramount.
There continue to be strict rules in place (which are outlined in detail in the DRC COVID SOPs, and you will be given a link to those, and all other information once registration and payment are complete):
You must still be an experienced sculler (one season minimum in a single or double) to row in a single or double;
Your double's partner can live outside your household but MUST sign a waiver;
If you are not comfortable rowing in larger crew boats with people outside your household that is 100% ok. However, if you do not have a double's partner, you must be comfortable and experienced rowing a single.
Recreational rowing will be offered Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm, and Saturday at 8:00 am.
Sign-up is required for ALL programs, and the session will not run unless there is a minimum of two people, so that we can safely put in and take out the coach boats.
Recreational Rowers: $390
Monday & Wednesday,
NEW mandatory rowing sign-up
May - Sept
We have restructured our recreational program to improve the quality of rowing, to build a community of rowers in an organized, sometimes challenging environment, and all the while enjoying the time on the water. Each session will have specific coaching and a structured ‘training plan’ which will balance the traditional steady state rowing with technique, drills and workouts.
Please see membership page for fee breakdown.
Saturday morning rowing will only occur on NON-REGATTA WEEKENDS. Please see Rowing Schedule.
Mandatory sign-up for rowing, you will be able to sign-up at the boathouse in person, by email, phone and/or text message. This will allow the coaches and instructors to organize each row, and have a plan ahead of time so that we can spend more time on the water, and less time organizing.
Rowers are expected to be at the boathouse and ready to row at 6:00pm sharp! If you do not sign-up and show up we cannot guarantee you a spot in a boat.
There will also be a minimum of two rowers required for the row to go (besides, rowing is much more fun with a friend or three!). Those signed up will be notified at 5:30pm (one hour before the row) if we are rowing (cancellation could be because of numbers, weather and water conditions).
